I got rather fortunate. The kimono I arrived in was positively beautiful, but it's not very practical for traveling.

[This sure is a new face appearing on the network, seated at a window seat in a cafe. The way the 'Gear is positioned shows Cherrygrove outside, so it's clear he's done a little traveling. The bandana tied around his arm and the green apron he's wearing identify him as a shiny new breeder. There's a little Charmander on his shoulder, too.]

Let me introduce myself. My name is Garry- I'm a friend of Ib's if you happen to know her. We arrived in Cherrygrove not too long ago. I was hoping now that I've gotten... a little used to things, maybe someone could answer a few questions I have.

I'm apparently a "breeder", or at least that's what it seems to say in this handbook I was given. I've read through it, so I think I have a decent idea of what to do.. It seems Izzy here- [A point to the Charmander.] - is in the 'Monster' and 'Dragon' groups, right? What sort of Pokemon are good to breed in those groups? Or... if you don't know, what are your favorite to breed? Any sort of tips would be appreciated.

I got an egg not too long ago- [He adjusts the camera to show the little egg on his lap.] Cyndaquil is in the... field group, I believe. I know it doesn't match, but I thought maybe it would be for the best if I didn't jump into things right away. Pokemon being 'just friends' seems like a good start before I start to breed them.

[He'd much rather be home... But when in Rome, right?]

Also, I've heard there are some people who have been here for quite some time. If you'd like to talk, I'm curious about some things.

I've heard people just... suddenly disappear from here to return to their home, and no one knows how. It's probably asked quite a bit... but I just wanted to make sure it was true.

You've heard right. Several of my friends have gone home over the years...and sometimes they reappear just as mysterioiusly.

I'm traveling with a very young friend of mine, and I'm just worried. We've already had one rather dangerous adventure. I'd like to see her with her parents again soon... But it doesn't seem as though anyone has found a way to do that just yet.

This seems a lot less dangerous then what we experienced before, but... [He looks at his Charmander again, who gives a yawn and shows all those sharp sharp teeth.] It still seems like it could be a little... scary at best.

No, no one I know understands how the appearances and disappearances work. I've heard time stops for us back home and those I've spoken to who have come back say that they didn't remember anything that happened here at all.

That's unbelievable... How long have you been here, then?

I'm sorry to hear that. You must miss your family and loved ones. Ah, I apologize if I brought up a sore subject.

It's alright, I came to you and I knew there'd be questions like that. I'm just disappointed I don't know more about our situation by now.

No one's really found out anything about this? I thought there had to be someone...

Has anything changed in all the years you've been here?

Well...we weren't always able to reach Kanto. Several new pokemon have appeared--but nothing like the mysterious Bloobers that recently appeared. Our pokedexes knew about all the others.

There were a number of natural disasters and several of my friends developed temporary powers but I'm not sure that counts.

...Temporary powers?

That's right! The powers of Pokemon!

[He is done with this place and he hasn't even been here for a week.]

Do these sort of things happen often? I want to keep Ib as safe as possible...

I wouldn't worry. Things happen--floods, snow storms, swarms of unusual Pokemon. The strange gaps in time no one can explain...they all come and they all go just as suddenly.

Keep away form ledges and you'll both be fine.

I... suppose being here that long desensitizes you to things... [Garry doesn't sound so sure he'll get over it so easily.]

If you must deal with ledges, always leap down. Never try to climb one no matter how low it looks. Trust an old man.

[Garry very nearly wants to ask why, and it probably shows on his face. In the end, however, he just gives a defeated sigh.]

I suppose it's not the strangest thing I've had to deal with... I'll be certain to avoid them then.

_{[Jack keeps his eyes trained on the gear almost daring Gary to ask. He doesn't, though, and the man's smile returns.]}

Hmmmm...berries. Do try and avoid eating wild berries. Your pokemon will be fine, but they aren't for you.

Oh, that's good to know. I was worried about having to feed mine when we were on the road.

Pokemon are quite good at taking care of themselves. They were doing just fine before they joined our teams after all!

That's true, isn't it? The ones I'm familiar with just seem so small, I'd forgotten they could protect themselves. [And others, judging by how protective Izzy has been over him...]

You'd be surprised! My Edgar can take down a Pokemon several times her size.
