3rd Petal // Video // Backdated to Day 2 of the Prom

No one told me there were evil dolls.

[Well that's one way to open up a video to the network. Garry... seems to be in somewhat of an odd position as he whispers into the 'Gear. It seems like... underneath a desk? It's quite a feat considering how tall he is, making the conditions quite cramped. There's a Charmeleon scrunched up there with him, looking aggravated and actually sort of beat up.]

I really am rather sick of them... It seems like a sort of Pokemon, but Izzy isn't strong enough for it yet. [The Charmeleon just glowers, but stays quiet.]

If anyone could possibly lend me something stronger... Or perhaps knows an exorcism... Or lighter fluid perhaps...

[He won't be picky.]

[There's suddenly a disturbing sort of giggling noise, and Garry gives a jerk that has his head slam right into the bottom of the desk. There's a yelp from him, a snarl from his Charmeleon, more giggling, and then it's obvious by the blurred images from the screen that he's making a run for it. For a moment, the screen is focused backwards... and that sure is a Shuppet floating and looking positively manic.]

[For those other prom goers, they might see Garry all over the place.]

[Help]

Those are hardly necessary. Shuppets can be very mischievous, but not evil unless you raise them to be.

[Let's... just not mention the ghost fog incident.]

[...Oh. That sounds a bit like Calca and Brina, back when his brother was controlling them. Not a very pleasant experience, he has to admit.]

Nothing can kill you here, and you can escape a locked room with an escape rope or a stronger Pokémon. That limits the Shuppet's opportunities to harm you greatly.

Can your weaker Pokémon exploit type advantages? A Normal-type with a Dark-type attack could win against a ghost, with enough time and effort.

...Ah. At this point, running back towards the festivities, or at least a large group of people, might be for the best. Safety in numbers, they always say.

You're welcome. Has it... tried anything yet, beyond giggling, following you and fighting back?

Your rose...?

[Perhaps it's something like Firion's Wild Rose? Hmmmm.]

Have you tried spraying it with Repel? It would also keep your own Pokémon away, but if that keeps it safe...

You're welcome. That's perfectly understandable; what reason do we have to avoid battles, when our companions gain so much strength from them?

They do tend to completely ignore our preferences unless they suit them. It's as if the most combative Pokémon find their way to the most peaceful trainers, and the opposite too.
