I'm not sure I know everything! But I'll tell you what I do know.

New Years is usually celebrated in the west during the last of December and the first of January, but with the Chinese New Years, they celebrate according to the lunar calendar, I believe. So it's also called the Lunar New Year.

It's a really lively time... And it lasts for a whole fifteen days. I had a friend who celebrated it, and it seemed like a time for family to get together and to try and change things in your life around so that you could get rid of bad luck and usher in good. There's also lots of fireworks.

I think you'd like lion dances, actually- hold on, let me see if I can sketch something out for you... Two people operate it, usually during festivals.
