6th Petal // Video - Action for Goldenrod

[Yet another friend having disappeared- a young girl he'd promised to be there for- has had Garry in a bit of a quiet mood, although never enough that he'll forget Ib. It had hurt for Saionji's promise of coming back after the storm to go unfulfilled, and to find all those Pokemon in his and Ib's PC...]

[And then today he'd gone out aaaaand-]

It's Free Ice Cream Day! [Garry is thrilled.] That's just the sort of thing I think we all need after everything! Ib, we should take Saionji's Pokemon and see if we can't cheer them up with some!

[And something for themselves, of course.]

If anyone else is in Goldenrod, we should meet up! It looks like the weather is beautiful, so there's no better time to meet new people as well.

[And indeed- Garry is seated at one of the outdoor seats of an ice cream parlor with Saionji's Pokemon out enjoying treats of their own. Saionji's Pokemon have been... a handful, but it looks like this has managed to distract them for now.]

[Garry raises his hand to his mouth as he laughs a little.]

I'm not sure I know everything! But I'll tell you what I do know.

New Years is usually celebrated in the west during the last of December and the first of January, but with the Chinese New Years, they celebrate according to the lunar calendar, I believe. So it's also called the Lunar New Year.

It's a really lively time... And it lasts for a whole fifteen days. I had a friend who celebrated it, and it seemed like a time for family to get together and to try and change things in your life around so that you could get rid of bad luck and usher in good. There's also lots of fireworks.

I think you'd like lion dances, actually- hold on, let me see if I can sketch something out for you... Two people operate it, usually during festivals.

[After a moment of getting some notebook paper from his pocket, he holds up a rough sketch of the costume.]

_{[Jack's eyes suddenly take up a good 3/4 of his face. That costume...amazing! FIFTEEN DAYS? Oh he wants that!]}

Wow! It's a crime that we don't have that here! Something else we need to tell the officials about--once we find some that is.

It seems like the Gym Leaders are the closest thing we have to them, doesn't it?

I imagine anything with their seal of approval might get popular..

Yes. I'll have to speak to one as soon as I find civilization again.

Thank you! The gyms can be tough. I may have to prove myself to the next leader I run into so they'll take my idea seriously.

I haven't quite decided yet! I'm nearest Ecruteak but I'm not sure I'll stop there.

Oh, I've heard Ecruteak is very lovely. Someone very dear to me liked it very much.

So have I. I've heard that there may even be spirits there.

Absolutely! It's only hear-say, but one can hope!

I don't think I could weather being around a bunch of ghost types.. Just the one I have right now scares me enough.
