6th Petal // Video - Action for Goldenrod

[Yet another friend having disappeared- a young girl he'd promised to be there for- has had Garry in a bit of a quiet mood, although never enough that he'll forget Ib. It had hurt for Saionji's promise of coming back after the storm to go unfulfilled, and to find all those Pokemon in his and Ib's PC...]

[And then today he'd gone out aaaaand-]

It's Free Ice Cream Day! [Garry is thrilled.] That's just the sort of thing I think we all need after everything! Ib, we should take Saionji's Pokemon and see if we can't cheer them up with some!

[And something for themselves, of course.]

If anyone else is in Goldenrod, we should meet up! It looks like the weather is beautiful, so there's no better time to meet new people as well.

[Action]

[And indeed- Garry is seated at one of the outdoor seats of an ice cream parlor with Saionji's Pokemon out enjoying treats of their own. Saionji's Pokemon have been... a handful, but it looks like this has managed to distract them for now.]

[It takes Garry a little while to switch all his Pokemon out for Saionji's, but he hurries. Soon enough, he comes back.]

All ready?

Uh-huh! [She is. Flower and Baker are bouncing excitedly while Lief and Razzle seem to have more composure.]

[artificialrose]

Great! Let's go. [He holds out his hand to her.] Have you ever had a free ice cream day, Ib?

[red_roses]

[She takes his hand happily!] Not until today! Maybe it's only in Johto?

[artificialrose]

Not at all! [He starts to guide her down the street.] Some cities back home would do them- as a promotion to get new customers. It's sort of like giving away really big samples, hoping that people will like them so much they'll come back.

[red_roses]

That's such a nice thing to do!

[artificialrose]

It is, isn't it? Do you like ice cream a lot, Ib?

[red_roses]

I do! But, mom and dad say I can't have it all the time.

[artificialrose]

Hmm, well, it wouldn't be healthy if that's all you ate.

You said your favorite was mint chocolate chip, right?

[red_roses]

That's right! Though, most other kids say it tastes like tooth paste.

What's your favorite kind of ice cream, Garry?

[artificialrose]

It's not for everyone, I suppose. As for me, I like strawberry. It's best when you mix it with fresh berries, too, although I don't always get to.

[red_roses]

Oh! My mother makes smoothies like that! She puts lots of other things in it though. I think it's vitamins....

[artificialrose]

Well, when you get older, you need to take care of your body a lot more... Ah, there's the ice cream parlor! [He points ahead.]

[red_roses]

Don't they taste bad though?

[artificialrose]

Sometimes. But it does good things for you, so sometimes you just have to swallow it down.

[red_roses]

[She wrinkles her nose a bit.] I don't think I'd like to do that....

[artificialrose]

Sometimes we have to do things we don't like. But- [He leans down to poke her cheek.] You don't have to worry about that for a long time.

[red_roses]

I really don't? That's good.
