6th Petal // Video - Action for Goldenrod

[Yet another friend having disappeared- a young girl he'd promised to be there for- has had Garry in a bit of a quiet mood, although never enough that he'll forget Ib. It had hurt for Saionji's promise of coming back after the storm to go unfulfilled, and to find all those Pokemon in his and Ib's PC...]

[And then today he'd gone out aaaaand-]

It's Free Ice Cream Day! [Garry is thrilled.] That's just the sort of thing I think we all need after everything! Ib, we should take Saionji's Pokemon and see if we can't cheer them up with some!

[And something for themselves, of course.]

If anyone else is in Goldenrod, we should meet up! It looks like the weather is beautiful, so there's no better time to meet new people as well.

[Action]

[And indeed- Garry is seated at one of the outdoor seats of an ice cream parlor with Saionji's Pokemon out enjoying treats of their own. Saionji's Pokemon have been... a handful, but it looks like this has managed to distract them for now.]

[Garry's gaze shifts away and the mood around him seems to shift.]

Yes... Right after the hurricane. Ib and I found her Pokemon in our PCs.

[Chihiro is quiet for a moment, keeping his eyes on his ice cream as he idly turns his spoon with his fingers.]

I see...I....I suppose she went home, then.

[...the question is, what is home for Saionji? Or does she have nothing to go back to...]

[artificialrose]

[There's a morose nod.]

She'd told me she was in a frightening situation back home... I hope she can escape it.

[Ssshhh, no one spoil the ending for him]

[Chihiro falls silent, still staring at his ice cream.]

Mm...y-yes. ...Hopefully...

[artificialrose]

[Garry tries to shake his head so he can stop thinking about it.]

I'm sorry, I shouldn't bring up such a gloomy subject especially now that the weather has taken a turn for the better.

Oh no...it's okay. Please don't worry about it.

[Chihiro...feels guilty more than sad, really. He's suddenly worried about the prospect of being suddenly taken away from this place, like Saionji.

...but yes. Let's not think about that.]

Do you think you will be okay, taking care of so many Pokemon?

I... think I should be. It should be easier once we get a house, which is what Ib and I are saving up for.

Honestly, I think I have more Pokemon handed down to me from people leaving than Pokemon I've chosen...

Having a house will help a lot. I know it does for me.

How far have you gotten with your savings?

[artificialrose]

We're not doing too bad! We could buy one right away, but the rent after that... Maybe I'll start up my own business to help. It's something I've wanted to do anyway.

Oh, that sounds like a good idea. I hope you're able to get your house very soon, Garry-kun!

Thank you! I hope so too. If anyone the two of us know come here, it'd be nice to have a place where they could stay.

[He turns his attention to Saionji's Pokemon next, to see where they are with their ice cream. Whups, a bit of theft about to happen between them which could erupt into a fight- he hastily returns the team to their Pokeballs.]

Ah... Do you want to stay a little while longer, Chihiro?

[Chihiro's mostly done with his own ice cream, and what he didn't eat has turned into a bit of a soupy slurry. He picks up the bowl and offers it to his Pokemon, having to hold out his hand before Isamu bowls everyone over trying to get to it himself.]

We can, if you would like. It's...rather nice out here today, so I don't mind staying.

[artificialrose]

How about we get some fresh ice cream, and then go walk around? I'm sure we can find all sorts of things, including chew toys.

[He nods, standing up from his seat before reaching down to pick up the now empty bowl. Isamu, you're going to need a serious bath when you get home...]

Okay!

[artificialrose]

[There's a quick stop back inside the parlor for a different flavor this time, and then Garry is happily looking up and down the street.]

So what part of town do you think we should start at first?

Well, let's see...

[Chihiro looks around after they've exited the parlor, tapping his fingers against the side of his cone thoughtfully.]

Maybe the Department Store? If anywhere has chew toys for Pokemon, I'd assume it would be there.

[artificialrose]

That's true! It does seem they have just about everything there. It's really handy.

[He heads off in that direction, making sure to keep his strides shorter than usual. Long legs and all mean he could easily take off and not realize he's left poor Chihiro in the dust.]

[Chihiro follows him diligently, with his Abra still hovering behind, Flareon and Growlithe following at his heels, and a very chocolately Linoone still working to lick the ice cream from his face and paws.]

Mhm! I've actually only been a couple of times...you know, to buy TMs and evolution stones.

[artificialrose]

I browse around them sometimes, just for fun- Bice and Izzy are the two that I really want to focus on for right now although Kaigo would be smart as well. Eevees always seem to sell well from what I've seen.

They do...probably because they are so versatile.

[They can evolve into nearly every type, so it definitely comes in handy when you're not sure what kind of Pokemon you'd rather have on your team.]

Remind me to get a Fire Stone while we're here, by the way...I want to evolve Hogosha sometime, but I'm not sure when he'll be ready.

[artificialrose]

Hogosha...

[Garry puts a hand to his chin, doing his best to remember which of Chihiro's pokemon he knows.]

Which one is that? I don't think I've met that one.

That's him!

[Chihiro points to the Growlithe currently trotting next to Garry, looking up at him happily with his tongue lolling from his jaws.]

[artificialrose]

Oh! [Garry gives a small laugh, bending down to briefly run his fingers through the top of the Growlithe's fur.] Hello there! So that's you.

[Hogosha gives a soft little 'woof' at Garry's petting him, tilting his head up so he can lick his fingers.]

You would probably like a chew toy too...wouldn't you?

[Chihiro asks, the little Growlithe tipping his head to the side curiously before barking again.]
